“Growing up in the city, I remember passing the Terrence Building every morning on my bus ride to school. The building has long been an eyesore to all who passed it—an abandoned facility with outdated purposes and broken windows that overshadowed our beautiful Highland Park neighborhood. Decades later, with today’s announcement, we can guarantee this site will hold renewed purpose for this generation and the next—helping to meet the urgent housing needs of local families. I fought alongside Governor Hochul and my colleagues in the state delegation to make this funding a reality because when it comes to creating new housing options for Rochesterians, there is no time to waste.”
