Senator Joseph Addabbo Jr. partnered with the American-Italian Cancer Foundation to deliver a free mobile mammogram clinic to his Woodhaven district office, hoping to promote early detection and make breast cancer screenings more accessible.

That on-site unit offered free breast cancer screenings and education on breast health, connecting attendees to preventive care. The event reinforced the need to screen regularly as a life-saving practice and showed how public officials, health organizations, and communities can partner to enable broad access to vital services.

Senator Addabbo praised the turnout and stressed the need for preemptive health measures to be taken in the district.

“Regular screenings save lives,” Addabbo said. “I’m honored to join the American-Italian Cancer Foundation in delivering vital health services to our community.”

Senator Addabbo will be hosting the mobile mammogram van again on October 18, 2026 at his Middle Village Office. Those who are interested must live in Senator Addabbo’s District and make an appointment by calling 877-628-9090.
