While the Governor spoke at length about affordability, she offered few real solutions to rein in spending, lower taxes, or ease the mandates driving up costs for workers, families, seniors, farmers, and small businesses. The address felt more like a heavily scripted campaign speech than an honest assessment of where our state stands. New Yorkers are looking for real reforms that make our state affordable, keep jobs here, and allow young people to put down roots while seniors can enjoy their retirement. Along with my colleagues in the Senate Republican Conference, I’m focused on delivering results that help people stay and succeed in New York.
