Senator Pam Helming congratulated Sam Kuhn, a member of Troop 59 in Clifton Springs, for earning the rank of Eagle Scout, Scouting’s highest and most prestigious achievement, during a ceremony held at Clifton Springs United Methodist Church.
To complete his Eagle Scout project, Sam fundraised and led a team of volunteers to build planter boxes for Clifton Springs First Baptist Church. The project demonstrated leadership, initiative, and a commitment to improving the community.
Senator Helming said, “Earning the rank of Eagle Scout is an accomplishment achieved by only a small percentage of Scouts. Sam’s dedication and willingness to serve others are a meaningful example of leadership in action. Youth leadership like Sam’s strengthens our communities today and builds a brighter future for tomorrow. Sam joins a proud tradition of Eagle Scouts who lead with integrity and serve with purpose, and we are proud of his achievements and look forward to all he will accomplish next.”
Senator Helming also thanked Sam’s parents, Andy and Christie, Scoutmaster Pete Taylor, and all those who supported him throughout his Scouting journey.
