On Wednesday, Sen. O'Mara joined Sen. Helming in Canandaigua to raise the alarm over state funding cuts for Child Advocacy Centers. O'Mara will renew that call in Corning today.
Corning, N.Y., August 20--On Wednesday in Canandaigua, Senator O'Mara joined Finger Lakes colleague, Senator Pam Helming, at a news conference to highlight the impact of state funding cuts to the continued operation of Child Advocacy Centers regionally and statewide, and to call on Governor Hochul to restore the funding.

Senator O'Mara will be in Corning today to continue that call. He'll be joined by area Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, Theresa Roth, Director of NYS Children’s Alliance, Inc., Ashley Davoli, Director of the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) of the Finger Lakes, Steuben County District Attorney Brooks Baker, Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard, Schuyler County Sheriff Kevin Rumsey, and other regional leaders to highlight the devastating impact on so many child victims of crime and their families if the cuts move forward.
