Tougher Penalty for Hiding a Body Signed into Law
On September 23, 2015, the governor signed Amanda Lynn’s Law ending a mother’s five-year battle to push it through both houses. Named after Amanda Lynn Wienkowski, the bill makes it a felony, up from a misdemeanor, to conceal a body or dispose of a corpse without a proper burial permit.
