Ortt Delivers $12,500 to East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company

Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I – North Tonawanda) today presented East Shelby Volunteer Fire Company in Orleans County with a $12,500 ceremonial check for rescue equipment. Sen. Ortt secured the funding through the 2017-18 state budget.
The fire department plans to purchase oxygen tanks for the breathing apparatuses firefighters wear in building or house fires. East Shelby also plans to buy the “Jaws of Life” to assist in vehicle extrication of crash victims, as well as other rescues from small spaces. East Shelby Vol. Fire Company provides services for the Town of Shelby and the hamlets of East Shelby and Millville.
