State Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. teamed up once again with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) to ensure local residents have access to free legal help. NYLAG’s outreach vehicle was stationed outside Addabbo’s District Office in Middle Village on June 15, 2026.
NYLAG offers guidance on a range of topics, including housing for tenants, benefits (public, disability, and healthcare), identity theft, debt management, immigration, support for inmate partners facing violence, divorce and custody, employment, and end-of-life and disability planning.
On-site support was provided by Kyle Koeppel Mann, Esq., Coordinating Senior Staff Attorney of the Immigrant Protection Unit at NYLAG, who assisted community members with their inquiries.
“Ensuring everyone can obtain skilled legal assistance is essential, regardless of income,” Addabbo stated. “NYLAG has been a committed ally in guiding residents through their rights and options, and I’m committed to sustaining this partnership, so these critical services remain accessible to the neighborhood.”
