STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The South Beach Civic Association celebrated its 24th annual Educational Picnic fundraiser, a time when local residents, community leaders and families fill the oceanfront Vanderbilt on the South Beach Boardwalk for a day of fine food, awards and civic pride.
In attendance were a number of community leaders, business owners, and elected officials who’ve supported the group since its inception, including State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton, Richmond County District Attorney Michael McMahon, Assembly member Michael Tannousis, and Diane Savino, former state senator.
